About our client

Our client is one of the most significant multinationals successfully operating and growing in the Polish insurance sector. Currently, in order to strengthen their finance function, we are looking for experienced and outstanding individuals for the position of Head of Controlling. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer / Board Member.

Job Description

- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis covering month-end, management reporting, budget and forecast to the business
- Create and drive financial planning as well as the company's business and profitability analysis
- Analyze and monitor the effect of budget changes on the business units' productivity
-Support sales and operations teams with evaluation of financial reports, and assisting with queries
- Create market models and analysis for various products
- Undertake cost/benefit analysis to evaluate and support the commercial teams
- Participate in corporate strategic planning decisions
- Recommend the introduction of operational procedures, initiate efficiencies opportunities
- Manage and develop the controlling team

Who we are looking for

- University degree in finance, professional financial post graduation (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) will be an advantage
- 5-8 years of experience in financial controlling or external audit
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams
- Minimum 5 years in insurance business or within advisory to the sector
- Strong intellect combined with good commercial and analytical skills
- Leadership skills and commercial attitude
- Effective planning and organizational skills
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Fluency in English and Polish is a must
