Treasury Minister Włodzimierz Karpiński and Deputy Minister Rafał Baniak will meet EU Commissioner Joaquin Almunia today to talk about the situation of LOT Polish Airlines, the Treasury Ministry’s spokesperson Agnieszka Jabłońska-Twaróg told the Polish Press Agency.
LOT’s spokesperson Barbara Pijanowska-Kuras said that the company’s CEO Sebastian Mikosz will also be present during the meeting.
This is yet another in a series of meetings between Polish and EC officials about the airline. LOT received public aid in December 2012 and presented a restructuring plan in mid 2013, for approval from the Commission. The main elements of this plan were published by the EC last Friday.
