One of Poland’s best-known investors Ryszard Krauze has announced he is no longer a shareholder or CEO at Prokom Investments. He said the decision was due to personal reasons.
Krauze is no longer financially involved in any of the companies co-owned by Prokom Investments apart from oil exploration firm Petrolinvest.
The businessman explained that his exit had been prepared for the past few months. He had earlier resigned from membership in the supervisory board’s of Prokom’s portfolio companies.
Krauze established Prokom in 1987 as an IT company, which grew to become one of the most prominent in the sector. In 2008 the company’s IT business was merged into Asseco Poland and Prokom became an investment vehicle. The firm’s portfolio includes real estate developer Polnord, biotechnology firm Bioton and Petrolinvest.
