Polish mining equipment maker Kopex has signed an agreement with defense sector firm Bumar-Łabędy for the delivery of machines to Bumar’s client in Argentina, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Under the terms of the agreement, Kopex will deliver mining machinery to Argentinian miner Yacimiento Carbonifero Rio Turbio. It will also provide relevant training.
Kopex was initially unsure about the potential the Argentinian market, but soon gained a good market position there, the company’s CEO Józef Wolski was quoted as saying. It is now considering the establishment of a local subsidiary.
