Czerwona Torebka to open its discount store chain

Retailer Czerwona Torebka is planning to take over the newly created niche market for traditional discount stores with its Dyskont Czerwona Torebka brand. The firm wants to acquire the market shares of Biedronka and Lidl, which are increasingly similar to supermarkets, it said in a statement. As a result, the firm’s only competitor in the niche will be the German hard discount store Aldi. 
The stores will offer products of well-known brands at cheaper prices. Dyskont Czerwona Torebka stores will have between 600-1,200 sqm, they will be located in cities with at least 10,000 citizens.
Currently, Czerwona Torebka owns the chain of convenience stores Malpka Express as well as the internet store
