The registered unemployment rate in Poland grew to 13.2 percent in November compared to 13.0 percent in October, according to an estimate published by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. A year ago the month-on-month growth was higher and amounted to 0.4 percentage points.
According to data collected by the ministry from labor offices, 2.12 million unemployed persons were registered as of the end of November. Compared to end-October, this number grew by 40,600.
The ministry also said that it transferred some zł.100 million to labor offices in November, which should help provide aid to about 12,000 unemployed persons.
