Polish exports are expected to grow faster in the coming years, according to a study by Oxford Economics for HSBC. In 2013, the value of Polish exports is seen growing by 5.8 percent year-on-year and in 2014 annual growth is expedcted to reach 7 percent.
Poland's growth in this area is expected to be higher than that of Germany (5.8 percent in 2013-15), France (6.1 percent) or the United Kingdom (4.4 percent). Between 2016-2020, Polish exports should grow by 55 percent, the report said, which places Poland second in Europe, behind Turkey.
Industrial machinery and transportation equipment will remain Poland's key exports. IT and communications equipment, chemical and mineral products will also contribute to the growth. HSBC economists also said they expect Polish GDP to grow by 1.6 percent in 2013 and by 2.9 percent in 2014.
