Former President Aleksander Kwaśniewski is not helping Janusz Palikot in gaining popularity for EU parliamentary elections. According to a recent poll conducted by Homo Homini for Rzeczpospolita, the Palikot Movement has support of only 5 percent of voters. The Democratic Left Alliance has support of 14 percent.

Last week Mr Palikot and Mr Kwaśniewski formed Europa Plus, a center-left political movement with the purpose of creating a joint voting list for the 2014 European Parliament elections.

The survey also showed that senior coalition partner Civic Platform would win 30 percent of the vote, opposition party Law and Justice would get 28 percent and junior coalition partner the Polish People's Party would get 6 percent.
