The first Louis Vuitton boutique in Poland is to open this year. Roberto Eggs, president for North Europe at the luxury goods firm told Rzeczpospolita that the opening is scheduled for the end of June. The store will be located in the Vitkac luxury shopping center in Warsaw.

The 270-sqm store will sell brands shoes, accessories as well as its signature purses. The company has had plans to enter Polish market for a few years now and registered its Polish branch in 2012

Mr Eggs said that Poles value products with a tradition behind them and they are also sensitive to innovation and new trends. This makes Warsaw a good place to launch a Louis Vuitton store, he explained.

Between 2005-2010 the luxury goods market grew by 50 percent and is valued at zł.3.5 billion according to advisory company KPMG's report.
