Jewelery sales on the rise
Major Polish jewelry store chains, such as W. Kruk, Apart and Yes, say that their revenues in 2012 grew slightly, mostly thanks to the sale of luxury watches. The value of growth in watch sales in various chains varied from just over 10 percent to above 20 percent.
Both Apart and Yes executives said that 2012 was also a record year for them regarding the sale of diamonds. The total value of the jewelry market in Poland in 2012 is estimated at €552.9 million, while the luxury watch market is said to be worth €60.2 million.
