According to a report by advisory firm KMPG, 56 percent of Polish production companies have made expansion part of their strategy for 2013, despite an expected economic slowdown in Poland and in Europe.
A majority of the surveyed companies, 58 percent, see Poland as their main market for expansion and 47 percent plan to expand in West European markets. They also plan expansion to the Asia-Pacific region. The report also found that only 12 percent of the surveyed companies plan cuts in employment, while 24 percent plan to hire new staff.
According to declarations provided by entrepreneurs from the industrial sector, employment in these companies will rise by 2.3 percent in 2013. The branches that plan the biggest increase in staff (4.5 percent) are: optics, transportation, automotive, electronics and machinery
