Poland's largest natural gas company PGNiG will spend zł.5 billion on investments in 2013, including zł.2.4 billion on gas exploration and extraction, the company's deputy CEO Sławomir Hinc said. Part of the money will be spent on the completion of the Lubiatów-Międzychód-Grotów oil and gas drilling site. It will also complete the Wierzchowice gas storage facility.
PGNiG also plans to drill 13 shale gas exploration boreholes in 2013. This will allow the company to estimate its future shale gas exploration capacity.
In 2012, PGNiG had capital expenditures of about zł.8 billion, Mr Hinc said. Which is the biggest amount spent by Polish company on investments in 2012.
According to PGNiG estimates, last year it sold 14.7 billion cubic meters of gas. They've imported 11 billion cubic meters of gas and extracted 4.3 billion cubic meters themselves.
