Polish investment fund TDJ was the only bidder to file an offer in the privatization tender for engine and turbine producer H. Cegielski Poznań (HCP). TDJ is managed by the family of Polish businessman Tomasz Domogała. Puls Biznesu estimates the value of his assets at zł.2.4 billion. TDJ is the owner of several Polish industrial companies, including mining machinery producers Famur and Glinik.
“We're happy, although we hoped that there would be more than one bid to buy HCP. The Treasury had experience working with TDJ (it bought Remag – a heavy machinery producer), so we know what to expect from them. We hope that the future investor will help HCP to enter new markets and develop new products,” said Andrzej Głowacki, president of DGA, a capital group which is helping the treasury with selling HCP.
