According to preliminary data, state-owned lottery company Totalizator Sportowy had sales revenues of zł.3.4 billion in 2012, up by 14.7 percent year-on-year, with net profit surging 65 percent to zł.318 million. The company observed a growth in the sales of nearly all of its lotteries last year.
Totalizator made payments of zł.1.7 billion to lottery players, with the biggest individual payment at zł.33.7 million. In 2012, the number of rollovers in the company's main lottery, Lotto, was exceptionally high, attracting more customers than usual.
For this year, Totalizator plans to expand its scratch lottery offer, and install 300 hundred self-serviced machines in its lottery kiosks.
