Poles are happy with their jobs, unhappy with their wages
Seventy-eight percent of working Poles are satisfied with their current job, a recent survey by pollster CBOS has found. However, only 45 percent are happy with their level of remuneration. Job satisfaction has been gradually growing in Poland since the 1990s. Aside from economic factors, prestige, career development options and job security were important determiners of satisfaction.
Eighty-one percent of respondents said that they believe their jobs are important to society and 73 percent said that they valued the opportunity to learn new things in their job. Sixty-four percent say they like their job because it gives them stability.
