Unemployment hits 13.4 percent
In December 2012, the registered unemployment rate was 13.4 percent, the Polish statistical office GUS reported. It was 0.9 percentage points higher than in December 2011 and 0.5 points higher than in November 2012.
The number of registered unemployed persons was 2.136 million. The last time that the unemployment rate was this high was in February 2012.
