Polish businesses see innovations as an important factor for growth but they also find several factors unfavorable, according to the latest GE Global Innovation Barometer Report. Some 23 percent of the respondents said they are satisfied with government support for innovations, which is far lower than the global average of 45 percent.
Even though Polish entrepreneurs value innovation as an important factor of their companies' evolution, they're afraid to implement it. With a rapidly changing business environment, they have problems finding the right development strategy and sticking to it. They're also afraid of the risk of losing qualified staff, who could work on innovative processes for their competition.
According to GE experts, Poland has a relatively low score in terms of an innovation-conducive environment. Low ratings were given to factors such as the legal environment, government support, access to new technologies and the education level.
