First cargo train from China arrives in £ód¼
A train weighing 715 metric tones, completed its 10,000 km long journey from China to £ód¼ on Wednesday. The whole route took only 15 days to complete, twice as fast as the sea route.
This is the first cargo train from China whose journey ended in Poland. Previously, £ód¼ was just a transit point for freight trains going to Czech Republic or Germany, PKP CARGO informed.
The state-owned company, which organized the transport from the Polish border, is the second largest railway cargo carrier in European Union. In 2012 it transported over 116 million tones of cargo in Poland and other countries.
