The labor market indicator calculated by the Bureau for Investments and Economic Cycles (BIEC) rose to 89.3 points in December 2012 as compared to 88.5 a month earlier, BIEC announced in a press release. The higher the score, the worse shape the labor market is in, according to the survey.

This unfavorable trend in Poland's labor market has continued for seven subsequent months and has become stronger in the last two months. Unemployment rose twice as much as usual in November and December. If seasonal factors are eliminated, the actual registered unemployment rate in November was 13.3 percent, BIEC said.
