Qatar Airways and Emirates Airlines will expand their operations at Warsaw's Chopin airport.

Qatar Airways, which launched a direct service route from Warsaw to the capital of Qatar, has recently announced that it will now offer the service daily. The new schedule will coincidentally be introduced just before the inauguration of direct daily flights to Dubai via Emirates Airlines come February 6. Both air carriers are ranked amongst the most luxurious in the world - Qatar Airways received a five-star ranking from Skytrax, while Emirates was classified with four stars.

Emirates Airlines published a release which stated that the launch of service between Warsaw and Dubai is a result of “excellent forecasts indicating the highest economic growth in Poland among countries in Central and Eastern Europe." Analysts are now awaiting the price impact of the competition between the two airlines.
