Polish beer, vodka and tobacco exports grow
Polish alcohol and tobacco products are becoming increasingly popular in foreign markets, according to a report prepared by the Foreign Agricultural Market Monitoring Unit (FAMMU). Exports of Polish beer increased by 8.4 percent in the first half of this year, amounting to a value of €43 million.
Likewise, sales of vodka abroad grew at a similar rate and amounted to €65.8 million for H1 2012. Polish tobacco producers are also seeing increased demand in their export markets. Sales to foreign markets in the sector increased by 15.3 percent in the January to June time frame.
