Alior Bank is preparing an initial public offering this year in a plan to quickly debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, the daily Rzeczpospolita reported, citing unnamed sources.

Experts say the bank may be planning to take advantage of the improved situation in the market.

Julian Krzy¿anowski, spokesperson for Alior, said that the bank is looking at various scenarios for further development, including an IPO and debut on the WSE, but no specific decisions have yet been made.

Alior had earlier considered seeking a new investor – among those interested were mainly private equity funds.
