Less bureaucracy and better quality of service are among the improvements in the administration proposed in a government scheme presented Thursday by Micha³ Boni, Minister of Administration and Digitization, Gazeta Wyborcza reported.

The scheme, called Optimum State, is aimed at creating a citizen-friendly administration.

Explaining the optimum state concept, Mr Boni told journalists that it was designed to “adjust the state to citizens and not citizens to the state.”

“An optimum state is one with only as many regulations as are needed to keep institutions alive, serve the population and businesses,” Mr Boni said.

He added that within six months his Ministry would review administrative procedures in order to introduce better and faster services.
