Enea president steps down
Maciej Owczarek has tendered his resignation as chief executive of Polish utility Enea, citing personal reasons.
A shakeup in Enea's management has been on the cards for a few months now.
Parkiet reports that Mr Owczarek had been defending his position by citing the company's financial results – after the first half of the year, the company produced 8 percent of Poland's energy and it booked more than zł.5 billion in revenues and a net profit of zł.456 million.
“But small rocks created an avalanche. A conflict with unions and the head of [power plant] Elektrownia Kozienice led to an unbearable atmosphere at the company,” a source close to the company told Parkiet.
