Copper giant KGHM estimates that if the current pace of production continues then deposits in its Lower Silesia mines will last for the next 30-40 years, reports Parkiet. The deposits in this region are on average 38.5 percent exploited so far.

In its report on mining assets located in Lower Silesia KGHM also presented its development plans for the future. The copper miner estimates that current and future projects could expand its copper resource base by some 17 million tons. At the moment KGHM's base is estimated at some 40 million tons, including deposits both in Poland and abroad.
