Government to allow genetically modified crops
The Polish government plans to allow the cultivation of genetically modified crops (GMOs) despite the fact that many EU countries do not currently allow such measures, reports Rzezczpospolita.
GMO production of crops for research purposes is the only exception to the current ban on GMOs in Poland. However, this exception has opened a gap for illegal production. But experts say that the new regulations will allow for more supervision over illegal GMO production.
