Eurocopter promises to build in Poland if chosen for zł.3 bln contract
French-German Eurocopter has announced that if it wins a tender for the production of 26 helicopters for the Polish Army, all of them would be assembled in Poland, Puls Biznesu reported.
The Polish Army is planning to purchase the 26 helicopters for zł.3 billion, with the tender set to be launched this autumn.
“We are also open to talks about the ‘Polonization’ of our systems,” said Olivier Michalon, the company's vice president for Europe and Central Asia, Puls Biznesu wrote.
Eurocopter also unveiled its latest EC725 Caracal helicopter during the International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce on Tuesday.
