PKP Intercity trains to get WiFi
Polish state railways subsidiary PKP Intercity has launched the final phase of tests for its new WiFi installation plan, reported Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
The tests on the new system will last until September 2, after which time PKP plans to select a service provider.
“We plan to implement WiFi services for first class passengers by the end of the year,” said Małgorzata Sitkowska, PKP Intercity spokesperson.
WiFi will then eventually be available on all Intercity trains in all classes of service. The company has yet to decide whether or not the service will be free of charge.
