The export of Polish food is growing at an impressive rate. The latest estimates show that the total value of the sector may reach €16 billion this year, reports Rzeczpospolita.

Polish products are becoming especially popular on the United Kingdom, where sales have doubled since Poland joined the EU in 2004, reaching €1 billion in 2011.

Not only Polish immigrants are buying Polish food, but also representatives of other nationalities living in the UK, Michael Dembiński, head of policy at the British Polish Chamber of Commerce, told the daily.

The main advantage of Polish food products is their high quality at a relatively low price, notes Michał Koleśnikow, economist at BGŻ.
