Poles drank zł.1.8 billion worth of wine in 2011
Sales of wine in Poland totaled zł.1.8 billion in 2011, representing an increase of some zł.500 million over a period of just five years, reported Puls Biznesu. And because Poles still drink 10 times less wine than their European neighbors on average, there is significant potential for further growth in the Polish wine market. “Gains on the market have persisted for several years and we expect that trend to continue in 2012,” said Anna Załuska, a spokes-person for beverage company CEDC.
