Polish energy companies Tauron and Enea are not interested in buying the stake that utility PGE is selling in its Elektrownia Opole power plant, Parkiet reported, citing representatives of the two companies.

PGE wants to sell half of its stake in Elektrownia Opole, including both old and planned blocks.

Within the next few days, the company may sign a contract for the construction of two blocks at Opole whose total value is zł.11.56 billion, PGE's acting CEO, Paweł Skowroński, told Parkiet.

Analysts expected Poland's largest energy companies, including Tauron and Enea to show an interest in PGE's Elektrownia Opole stake. Coal companies have also been considered as potential investors.
