Polish tax revenues up by 9% in 2011?
Poland's state budget may have earned up to zł.38.6 billion from personal income taxes in 2011, according to an analysis from Rzeczpospolita.
The state's revenues may be up to 9 percent higher year-on-year, despite high unemployment, because wages increased by 5 percent in the private sector and by over 5 percent in the entire economy.
The last time such high tax-revenue levels were recorded was in 2008.
Between 2009-2010, tax revenues were lower than 2011's figure of zł.38.6 billion because of pro-family tax reliefs and the downturn in the economy.
