ExxonMobil to keep drilling for shale gas in Poland
ExxonMobil, the world's largest energy company, has committed to undertaking at least six exploratory drilling programs for shale gas from Q3 2012 through Q3 2014 on properties it owns in Poland, Parkiet reported.
The company has also agreed to conduct seismic testing on the properties.
ExxonMobil has drilled two exploratory boreholes in Poland to date, but said neither showed evidence of commercially viable quantities of shale gas.
