The euro-zone crisis and the state of Poland's economy are not as worrisome to Polish entrepreneurs as they were during the last few months of 2011, according to research conducted by Puls Biznesu.
So far during the first quarter of 2012, the moods of "Business Gazelles," as daily Puls Biznesu dubbed them, have improved significantly.
Fewer bosses of leading businesses are concerned about a return to a period of crisis, and many believe that the whole thing is just an invention of politicians.
During the previous quarter, results from a similar study indicated that the moods of entrepreneurs had reached a low point. Turmoil on financial markets, coupled with economists' and politicians' repeated announcements about the risks of the euro zone failing, had led many Polish entrepreneurs to have doubts about their businesses' futures. Many other economic confidence indicators also fell to historical lows.
But panic now seems to have subsided and companies polled seem to be as optimistic as they were half a year ago.
