French electronic group M83, named after the spiral galaxy Messier 83, was formed back in 2001 by main member Anthony Gonzalez. The group is coming to Warsaw this February to promote its sixth album, “Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming,” which was released in October 2011.

According to Anthony Gonzalez, the group’s latest offering is the fruit of his fascination with such classic albums as The Beatles “The White Album” and “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness,” by The Smashing Pumpkins. The new album was produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen who has also worked on records by such diverse artists as Beck, Nine Inch Nails and The Mars Volta.
