Croatians vote for EU accession
In a referendum on January 22, over two-thirds of voters in Croatia said yes to their country joining the European Union. Croatia is due to accede to the bloc in July 2013 provided all current member states ratify the country’s accession agreement. Croatia will become the EU’s 28th member. “This is an historic decision … possibly a turning point in our history,” said Croatia’s Prime Minister Zoran Milanoviæ.
