Politicians in the lower house of Poland's parliament, the Sejm, will cast their votes this Friday on the country's latest budget.

Opposition parties have already asked for some 370 amendments to the draft legislation, 201 of which originated from the Sejm's newest party, Palikot's Movement (RP).

“This is a stagnation budget,” RP MP Sławomir Kopyciński told Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

He added that amendments suggested by his party could help save some zł.2.8 billion.

The party demands that funds spent on administration, the church fund, and the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) be reduced, and that some of the money is reallocated to a national program to support entrepreneurs finance micro-loans.
