Tusk: fuel prices 'disastrous'
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told reporters on Wednesday that in order to stop the rise in gasoline prices in Poland, the złoty would have to maintain a certain exchange rate, particularly against the US dollar. Mr Tusk stated that rising fuel prices are a “fairly disastrous coincidence for consumers” created by an unfavorable exchange rate, high oil prices, and the need for an excise tax that met the level set by the EU.
