Some 68 percent of companies in the Polish IT sector plan to hire new employees this year, according to a new report from market research firm PMR.

The report, which was made for personnel company Adecco Poland, aims to assess the human resource needs of the IT industry in 2012.

“In view of the fact that we are trying to constantly adapt our offers to the changing needs of the market, we wanted to obtain current information about the preferences of current and potential customers,” said Anna Wicha, country manager of Adecco Poland.

As in 2011, computer programmers are set to be the most in-demand IT professionals over the next 12 months. However, the report shows that along with IT sales staff, programmers are the most difficult employees to recruit.
