Polish unemployment rises in December 2011
Poland's unemployment rate reached 12.5 percent in December 2011, higher by 0.4 percentage points on a month-on-month basis. Unemployment also rose on an annualized basis.
Only, 34,600 jobs were added in December, 10,300 fewer than in November.
The year ended with 1.98 million citizens registered as jobless. In the last four months of 2011 the number of unemployed increased by 128,000, reports the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
