The Warsaw Stock Exchange has issued zł.170 million in bearer bonds through its Catalyst bond-trading system. The bonds, which have been newly listed, are the first of two series of WSE debt instruments to be listed on Catalyst.
“Today’s event is a major development as it demonstrates how to raise funds very effectively and on very good terms, which arouse interest and even a kind of respect or admiration on the part of the observers who witness the transaction: foreign observers, professional financial institutions, and information agencies,” said Ludwik Sobolewski, CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, at the listing ceremony.
The series A bonds bear interest at a floating rate of WIBOR 6M plus a margin of 117 basis points. The coupon is 6.17% in the first interest period. Interest is paid semi-annually. The total value of bond issues (excluding Treasury bonds) listed on Catalyst is over zł.40 billion.
