A new report from human resources company Manpower suggests that Poland will experience a significant slowdown in the labor market between January and March 2012, reported Puls Biznesu.

Only 14 percent of employers are planning to create new jobs in the first quarter of 2012, the lowest percentage in the three-year history of the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, and lower than at the height of the 2009 financial crisis.

“The first quarter is traditionally characterized by weaker employment prospects. In addition, as a result of bad signals from the euro zone, businesses are wary of plans for 2012, including the creation of new posts,” Iwona Janas, country manager for Manpower Poland, told Puls Biznesu.

“We will see a pause in some recruitment processes, and a growing interest from companies in flexible forms of employment, in response to the economic situation,” she added.
