Software piracy is rampant in Poland's business community, according to the results of a survey of Polish business decision-makers conducted by research company Ipsos Public Affairs.

More than two-thirds of respondents (69 percent) from Polish companies, the majority of whom are responsible for decisions related to purchasing software, believe buying software on auction sites is legal, Rzeczpospolita reported, citing the survey.

Furthermore, some 39 percent of those surveyed see nothing wrong with downloading programs through peer-to-peer networks used for exchanging files on the internet, the survey shows.

The survey also shows that 35 percent of respondents deem it legal to install a program with a single-device license to other devices in the office.
