Poland's headline interest rate left unchanged
In line with expectations, Poland's central bank left its main interest rate unchanged at 4.5 percent during its meeting on Wednesday.
“We expected the central bank to be on hold due to the weak PLN, the high inflation and the still fairly robust [economic] data,” Annika Lindblad, an economist at Nordea Markets, wrote in an e-mailed comment.
The central bank will release a statement later on Wednesday explaining its decision.
