PKO BP privatization second phase won't take place in 2011
The second phase of the privatization of PKO Bank Polski will not go ahead this year, according to a statement from the Treasury Ministry, as cited by Rzeczpospolita.
“The situation we're observing in the euro zone is affecting an already fluid situation in global financial markets,” the statement reads.
“The consequence of this fluidity is that we are limited in our capacity to effectively carry out a secondary public offering of PKO BP shares this year.”
The Treasury Ministry said the privatization may occur in the first half of next year.
