The chairman of the supervisory board of Vivendi has confirmed that his company is one of those interested in the takeover of private broadcaster TVN.
“I think everyone already knows that we are participating in this process,” Jean-Rene Fourtou told Parkiet.
The French company wants to create a consortium of enterprises operating in the Polish market. It already owns the digital platform Cyfra+. Parkiet reports that the decision to sell TVN might be made in mid-October.
Other media have reported that Vivendi’s major competitor will be Time Warner. It is still not known, however, whether the group will be sold as a whole or in parts. In the latter case, several companies could divide it between themselves.
