Growth predicted for Poland's restaurant sector
Almost €7 billion will be spent on eating out in Poland in 2011, nearly 4 percent more than last year, according to estimates from research firm Euromonitor.
In 2012, spending in restaurants will increase to €7.4 billion, and to almost €8.6 billion in 2015, reported Parkiet, which cited the results.
Expectations of an increase next year are directly linked to Poland's co-hosting of the Euro 2012 soccer championship, which will attract large numbers of tourists and fans next June.
Those expected to benefit most are the big chain restaurants located in host cities, as well as food outlets at train stations throughout Poland.
