TVN Group reveals Q1 loss
Polish media giant TVN Group reported a loss of zł 40.5 million for the first quarter of this year, as the cost of its euro-denominated debt dwarfed revenues earned from its various operations.
The company saw its net profit fall by 160 percent year-on-year in the first three months of 2011.
The company's revenues, however, grew 7 percent y/y to zł.582 million, on the back of an increase in revenues from pay TV and online services.
Revenue from TVN's 'n' digital platform grew by 27 percent, while online revenues rose by zł.6 million, or 12 percent. Year-on-year revenue change from the TV segment was flat.
