Poland to grow by 365 hectares
The Czech Republic is planning to return 365 hectares of land to Poland, according to Czech Public Radio. The Czech Ministry of Interior has decided to give back a fragment of land located in the Liberec province between Świeradów and Bogatynia in the Western Sudetes mountains.
The land transaction will remedy a long-standing discrepancy. Back in the late 1950s, Poland and Czechoslovakia shifted their borders, but the latter received more land than it gave up – 365 ha more, to be precise.
The two countries have been deliberating the land debt for almost 20 years.
