Mieszko investors concerned about upcoming transaction
Polish confectioner Mieszko plans to spend some €32 million (zł.127.8 million) to purchase from its largest shareholder a controlling stake in Vilniaus Pergale, one of Lithuania's largest sweets producers.
Investors worry Mieszko may have bitten off more than it can chew, however, since the value of the transaction is worth some 86 percent of Mieszko's total capital. Experts speaking to Parkiet also point out a lack of transparency surrounding the transaction. For example, it's difficult to know much about Vilniaus Pergale's sales and profits, which in turn makes it hard to assess if €32 million is a fair price.
